The purpose of Ehsaan is to create a community investment for one reason and one reason only. To work for a common goal and to help others. We all have ideas of how we can help our community or our country. The problem is everyone has their way or idea that they believe it will make a difference. Ehsaan is a platform where the community can pool their funds together and one person will be chosen among all who participated in the pool. The person will decide how the funds should be allocated. Giving the money is done without expecting a return on it. That is donating it for a good cause for the sake of Allah, such as building a school, a hospital, a library, or a bridge, etc., with no intention of winning a prize or making a profit for themselves. If I choose to give five dollars for the sake of Allah (SWT), my reward is with Allah (SWT). But imagine if you combine that with others for a common goal such as buying an ambulance vehicle to aid an injured person or aid a mother who is expecting? Imagine your five dollars combine with others five dollars to rebuilds a masjid, or a water Dam for an area where water is scares? I was inspired by a sister may Allah reward her with Jannah, who wanted to do a fundraiser to buy blankets for less fortunate families. For a lot of people in the developed world, five dollars is the cost for a cup of coffee/tea and a bagel. But take that five dollars and combine that with other’s five dollars and it becomes a game changer.
